Google has just launched two new Live Cases for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. The new additions to the case series are called Earth and Trends, cost $50, and are already available for purchase from the Google Store, Best Buy, and Verizon.
Starting off with what many might perceive as the most interesting new Live Case, the Earth model aims to expose beautiful places around the world. Customers have the ability to select between a number of exploratory-themed photos for the case exterior, with some of the options being quite appealing. Furthermore, the Earth Live Case will download a new wallpaper each day and will also share a few details about the place where the photo was taken.
The other Google Pixel Live Case that Google announced today is called Trends and, as the name suggests, can place the most common search trends right on your Pixel's wallpaper. Although the Trends Live Case is currently available in the US and Canada only, the exposed search trends will take the user's location into consideration.
Google's Live Cases have been around for a few good years now but, up until recently, they've been a niche experiment. With the new Pixels, however, Google is kicking everything into an upper gear, Live Cases included. Shortly after launching the Pixel and Pixel XL, Google launched a triad of Live Cases for its new phones. Just a few days ago, Google launched a new set of Live Cases created by fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
