Google has officially unveiled its latest Pixel Watch 3 and if you want to find all the details about the new smartwatch you are in the right place. The third-generation Pixel Watch debuted alongside the flagship Pixel 9 series at the latest Made by Google 2024 event.

In a change from the norm, Google unveiled the third-generation Pixel Watch alongside the Pixel 9 series on August 13. The Pixel Watch 3 officially went on sale just a week later, on August 22.

Pixel Watch 3 design
Google has finally introduced two size options for its Pixel Watch, bringing it more in line with its competitors such as Apple, Samsung, and Garmin. The Pixel Watch 3 is now available in 41mm and 45mm sizes. While the design of the larger model remains mostly unchanged, it does feature a bigger display. Both sizes are crafted from 100% recycled aluminum.

Both sizes of the Pixel Watch 3 now boast Google's Actua Display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits — double the brightness of the Pixel Watch 2's 1,000 nits. This means you can actually see the screen clearly even under direct sunlight.
Plus, with bezels reduced by over 16%, the Pixel Watch 3 offers a bigger active screen area. You get more screen real estate — over 10% more on the 41mm model and a whopping 40% more on the 45mm version — making it easier to interact with apps and notifications.
Pixel Watch 3 battery
The Pixel Watch 3 brings battery upgrades, particularly for the larger model. The 41mm version sticks with the its 306 mAh battery, still offering about 24 hours of use with the always-on display enabled. The real improvement? It now charges 20% faster than before.
As for the 45mm model, it takes things further with a bigger 420 mAh battery. You get up to 24 hours of use with the always-on display or stretch it to 36 hours in Battery Saver Mode.
The smartwatch features a USB-C charger that securely attaches with pins for a stable connection. It delivers impressive charging speeds, hitting 50% in just 30 minutes and 80% in around 50 minutes.

Out of the box, the Pixel Watch 3 runs on Wear OS 5 based on Android 14, offering smooth integration with Pixel phones and other Google devices. Here’s how it keeps you connected and in control:
The Pixel Watch 3 comes packed with a bunch of new fitness and health features. For instance, when you go for a run, it uses advanced motion sensing and machine learning to analyze your form. You’ll get a detailed breakdown of your cadence, stride length, vertical oscillation, and more, helping you perfect your performance.
- Google Maps: Get directions even when offline.
- Google Wallet: Make payments and manage transactions directly from your wrist.
- Nest Cam and Doorbell Notifications: Interact with delivery folks, watch live feeds, and use two-way talk right from your wrist.
