AT&T's Nokia Lumia 900 gets Windows Phone update
Once upon a time, the Nokia Lumia 900 was the flagship Windows Phone model. But eventually, as Windows Phone 8 was launched, the AT&T exclusive was replaced with the Nokia Lumia 920 which is another AT&T exclusive. If you bought the older model on contract, there is a very good chance that by dint of the two year pact that you signed, the Nokia Lumia 900 is still in your pocket. That makes today a great day for many of you, because an update is being sent out now that adds some new things to your handset. But understand that this Windows Phone 7.8 update is as close as you Nokia Lumia 900 owners get to Windows Phone 8.

According to the changelog, the update adds a new start screen with resizeable tiles. To change the size of the tile, a long press on it will do the trick. The update also bring new theme colors and improvements to the lock screen. The Bing photo of the day can be used as wallpaper and after the update, the phone will offer accidental input protection for the security code. The update also adds new apps to the Nokia Collection.

What would an update be without some bug fixes? We can tell you that the update to OS version 7.10.8862.144 will fix a problem that prevented Live Tiles from updating. The update actually consists of four smaller updates which together will give you all of the new features and bug fixes.
