Android Q beta wants your input to make it better
There has been evidence that the Android Q beta could hit any day now (although history would imply that the Android Q beta won't drop until Google I/O in May) but regardless of when the beta update is released, we're getting a bit more info on some new changes expected to be bundled in the update. Word has it that Google wants more input on how to make the software better.
A new leak shows that Google is planning to include a new Feedback app with the Android Q beta. Previously, any feedback users had to offer with the Android beta program would be packed into the Settings menu, but as with most other Google apps it seems that having something that can be updated through the Play Store is preferable. It's likely a matter of being able to update faster, especially since Android Q is expected to hit a lot more devices than just Pixels with this beta.
But even better, the Feedback app will help users gather around issues that need attention. There will be three options -- Report Issue, Feature Request, and Other Feedback -- and every issue reported will be public (though any attachments will be removed in case there's any personal information.) However, Google is asking those who submit issues to do a little leg work on their own and ensure whatever bug is submitted isn't something that already exists in Android Pie.
Hopefully, this will mean Android Q won't come up against the bugs the plagued the Pixel 3 line with Pie, but we'll have to see.
