Asus rolls out Android 7.0 Nougat for ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M)

We start the week with another Android Nougat update for an Asus device. In the last few weeks, Asus delivered several updates for its ZenFone smartphones, but this time we're going to talk about one of the company's tablets, the ZenPad 3S 10.

The tablet introduced last summer is now eligible for an Android 7.0 Nougat, Asus confirmed recently. The update is available for the Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet, which is known as Asus ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M).

Aside from bringing all the juicy stuff included in Android 7.0 Nougat, the update addresses some issues and adds a couple of new features specifically tailored by Asus. For example, the ZenUI Keyboard now has the new Unicode 9.0 emoji and skin tone.

Also, Asus added a bundled notifications switch so that when multiple notifications for a single app are received, they can be grouped together into a single group. A new Launcher app menu is now available for those who use Easy mode, after upgrading to Android Nougat.

A couple of things will be removed from the tablet's software, such redundant app shortcuts like Audio Wizard, Splendid, and System update, as well as PC Suite. Furthermore, the ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) now features Quick Settings with support for multiple pages.
