First official Note 8 camera samples tell the tale of two cameras

Samsung's new Galaxy Note 8 is the company's first premium handset with two 12-megapixel cameras on its rear, and, while late to the dual camera game, Samsung went all-out with the set. The main wide-angle camera comes with f/1.7 aperture, the one with the telephoto lens sports a narrower, f/2.4 aperture, as can be expected, but both feature optical image stabilization for the first time in a phone. Apart from those two puppies, the Galaxy Note 8 also flaunts  an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with the same wide f/1.7 aperture as the main snapper.

As can be expected, the camera software seems up to par with the excellent hardware, offering the panoply of dual camera shenanigans like pre- and post-shot refocusing, or 2x zoom. Samsung has provided a few official shots that sample the camera abilities for your viewing pleasure above, and says that these are taken with the Note 8. They seem pretty authentic - impressive yet not perfect - and we'd have to put the phone through its review paces to determine if the phablet gets it right in less than ideal circumstances, too. Keep in mind that some of these are the full size images straight from the Note 8's camera with the EXIF data, so they may take a while to load.
