HTC U11 Plus leaked renders show a glamorous back plate, but rather thick chins

HTC U11 Plus may be one of the last flagship smartphones the Taiwanese company will launch on the market after it had sold its mobile division to Google.

The smartphone is supposed to go official on November 2, but the first details about the U11 Plus have already emerged earlier today. But for those who would rather take a peek at the upcoming HTC flagship before it gets announced, we finally have a couple of pictures to show you courtesy of OnLeaks.

These images are based on the HTC U11 Plus' CAD (computer-aided design) files, a format that is used by engineers to create precision drawings or technical illustrations. Basically, these are the closest thing to an official press render.

It appears that HTC will use the same “Liquid surface” technique on the back of the phone, so the U11 Plus will feature a mirror-like battery cover. Although the flagship seems to have thin bezels, the upper and lower chins are rather thick versus other top-tier phones like Samsung Galaxy S8 or LG V30.

HTC U11 Plus ditches the 3.5mm audio jack, so you'll be forced to use the USB Type-C port instead. There's a single lens camera on the back side, along with a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor inside, paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal memory.

Finally, the U11 Plus will boast a huge 6-inch display with Quad HD resolution, and it will measure158.2 x 74.6 x 9.1 mm. Also, rumor has it HTC will put a 4,000 mAh battery inside its upcoming flagship.
