LG V30 starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie update
As the title says, LG's flagship smartphone, the V30 is finally getting the long-overdue Android 9.0 Pie update. Although Google is gearing up to release Android Q in less than a month, many smartphone vendors have barely managed to provide Android Pie updates to their older flagship handsets.

According to Mylgphones, the update has just hit several European countries like Germany, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the UK. A broader rollout will begin in the coming days, so even if you're not located in one of these countries, chances are that your LG V30 will receive the update very soon.

The Android 9.0 Pie update is pushed out OTA (over the air), but you can also download and install LG Bridge on your PC and upgrade your LG V30 by connecting the phone to your desktop.

We know the update brings the July security patch and, according to a Reddit thread, new notification animations and notification light ring for Always-On Display. Sadly, we have no information on the availability of the update in the United States, but it shouldn't be too long now.
