Samsung's Bixby Voice delayed due to "lack of resources"

Bixby Voice, Samsung's first AI assistant, is yet to officially speak any other language than Korean. Support for English and Chinese was supposed to arrive in "late spring", but is currently unavailable. 

Samsung did release a beta version of the software for people who signed up the early access program in the US, but the truth is that the vast majority of Galaxy S8 owners still can't benefit from the service, more than two months after the phone's premiere.

Citing unnamed industry sources, The Investor suggests that the hold-up is due to a "lack of resources" such as data and foreign language experts. This means that Bixby Voice is savvy in Korean but simply underperforms when compared to its rivals in any other language. A Samsung spokesperson recently commented on the situation:
