Sony Xperia XZ1 unit poses for the camera, shows off specs
Seeing as the entire display is obscured by a text-heavy sticker, it's not made immediately clear whether the device in the picture is the real deal or just a dummy display unit. The good news, however, is that this sticker shows us a large amount of info about the device's specs — and they sure seem to match with the ones we've heard so far.
So expect the XZ1 to come with a Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, a 5.2-inch, HDR-capable display (old rumors say it'll be a Full HD panel), and a 19 MP MotionEye camera capable of 960 fps video recording. Alongside those, the XZ1 will also have a 13 MP front camera, front-facing stereo speakers, and either an IP68 or IP65 dust- and water-resistance rating.
The Xperia XZ1 will be announced later this month, at Sony's August 31 event just a day before the official start of this year's IFA expo. Alongside it, we're expecting to see two other devices: a smaller variant of the XZ1 named Xperia XZ1 Compact, and a mid-ranger going by the name Xperia X1.
